International Youth Day theme ‘Building a Better World: Partnering with Youth,’ aimed at developing and engaging in partnerships with and for youth works closely with the aims of my site in showcasing solutions, many of which can provide opportunity for civil society to partner with youth. United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for greater and more meaningful inclusion of youth into decision-making processes around the world, while also warning of a possible “lost generation” if urgent measures are not put in place. Read more about his warning of risks of creating a 'lost generation' at this article

In this vidoe, shot when I was on the Gold Coast last week, I talk about how important it is that young people participate and how this sit can assist in avoiding "the ‘lost generation’ of squandered talent and dreams" that Ban Ki-moon warns of.

I'd love to hear your opinion below. Especially on how participating in community has impacted you (And of course, get involved through the 'Browse solutions' and 'Share a solution')
